La Hulpe

Sunday we took Foxy to La Hulpe to enjoy the nice weather. I didn’t exactly remember the last time we were there but it has been a while. (2006 actually my how time flies) It being a partly sunny Sunday it was full of people walking around enjoying the day.

To our surprise they have added statues by and artist Jean-Michel Folon on the path leading up to the Chateau.

These are some photos from the day-I did try and do an amimoto but cause the photos are so close the heads were cut off and it only turned out to be a couple photos.

OMG, I am so sad that I'm not there to see those sculptures. As you know from our times together at antique stores and the flea market, I love Folon's work . . . The picture of Foxy on the sculpture was charming.

Now I know why I knew the artist name! You can come and visit anytime you want,I would even drive my car to take you there...we also took foxy's photo on the bench with the man.

Love Folon's work. I have a picture of the man standing with an umbrella which is a fountain on my bulletin board. I need to go back to Belgium as a tourist. Last time I was in La Hulpe was in the 50's!!

I love the statues, of course I don't know the artist but his work is wonderful. I forgot how elegant the chateau was. Mom
